Katie’s Music Studio

We love Katie! She has been so patient at teaching our oldest for the past few years and has worked with him through his initial goofy and uncooperative stage. He really enjoys the balance of learning the basics and fundamentals of the instrument as well as being able to learn music of his choosing. We highly recommend this studio for music lessons :)

Katie's Music Studio is a fantastic studio for anyone who wants to learn a new instrument or advance their skills. Their teachers can accommodate all ages and skill sets, from early years music classes, to advanced students, to mature students looking to learn something new. If you are looking for a new music studio or want to learn a new instrument, I would definitely suggest Katie's Music Studio - they have it all.

I am 64 years of age. Started playing in January with Katie and I do not intend to stop. She makes all my lessons fun. I learn a lot at each lesson and we cover a lot. I am always excited after the lesson to practice more and get better. I owe my enthusiasm to Katie. I could not be happier with my experience. The sky is the limit with my great teacher.

My daughter attended piano lessons at Katie's Music Studio for years. All the teachers she had were engaging and enthusiastic. My daughter especially enjoyed the point and prize system for lessons and practicing.The studio is well organized and has an online portal where you can mark your attendance, receive messages and pay invoices. The new location with multiple parking spots is also an improvement. Highly recommended.

Katie is so patient. My daughter is slightly losing interest in practicing violin, yet she always looks forward to lessons. Katie is funny, calm, happy, and knows her students well. Most importantly, she is positive. We have had two Suzuki teachers before Katie, and the atmosphere was negative, high pressure, and shaming. Thank you for everything, Katie. Katie is such a sweetie and oh so talented! I bought lessons for my sister (adult) and she loves it. Katie provides rep that match her students interests and goals. She has the well-rounded skill that allows her to teach through sheet music as well as tab and charts, tending to each students preferences. I started violin lessons with Katie eight years ago as an adult student. Katie is an awesome musician, teacher and wonderful person. She has taught me so much and provides encouragement each lesson with ways to improve. My son has been a student of Katie's since the beginning of Katie's teaching career. From a young age the dedication, patience, understanding, encouragement and support for her students is second to none. She is very communicative with parents and helped me having no musical background be able to properly and positively encourage my son practise and stay committed to playing music. We are the best people to give a review since we've been to all the music teaching studios in the city. We eventually left each one because there was no love there. There is love and passion here.Not only that, but Katie's educational background and training with regards to children, puts her a step above any other studio. Our daughter has learned more with Katie in our first 2 years with her, then with her previous 4 years of learning with other studios. So be assured that your child is in good hands and you can trust that she's picked exceptional teachers for the studio.
